Summer in the Alps

The Alps provide a fantastic location for a summer holiday, especially for families with energetic children who may want something a bit more adventurous than the seaside! From white water rafting to Donkey treks for the smaller children there are activities to suit all ages. You can even include a day with a local Mountain guide (and give your holiday that added X factor!)

The Perfect Family Chalet - Chalet La Vieille Forge

Ideal for groups great or small. An engaging traditional mountain forge with excellent facilities and beautifully decorated with Alpine memorabilia. The Forge is situated in Les Houches in a charming setting, surrounded by woodland, mountain views, a charming garden with traditional Mazot which doubles as a children's Wendy house and a bubbling brook in the garden!. Absolutely idyllic!

The chalet has 7 bedrooms, each decorated individually, 7 bath or shower/wc and a hot tub! We can take smaller groups and close 2 bedrooms offering a wonderfully spacious chalet, at great value. Other facilities include comfortable living lounge and dining room, DVD, Sat TV, ADSL, sauna and superb music system. We have excellent kitchen facilities including large electric oven, 5 gas burners and lot's of gizmo's for the enthusiastic cook plus a great selection of cook books to inspire you. Enjoy your breakfast on the terrace by the stream each morning marvelling at the views of the Mont Blanc. There are lovely walks and mountain bike trails close to the chalet whilst all the facilities and exciting sports of the Mont Blanc region are on your door-step.
