We all cannot thank you enough for our most amazing chalet (my husband is
very concerned as I have come home and not actually loved being back home!)
I would 100% recommend Huski and chalet Louisa to anyone considering a

want to spend Christmas there! Thanks again

Just wanted to say thanks to all for giving us such a wonderful,
hassle free break at chalet La Forge. We both had a great time. You

Gaby and the team, I would just like to tell you what a fantastic chalet
holiday we had stopping at chalet Louisa last week. The chalet itself is
great with plenty of character and within easy reach of the lifts.
It was also very well equipped with everything you could want. Jane was
fantastic and very helpful and easily contactable....the ski areas were
fantastic and very quiet at the time we were there....I would definitely
return. Once again thanks for a great week.

all had a really enjoyable time during our all too short break. Some of
the group were chalet 'virgins' whilst for others this was a good chance
to compare previous experiences...very comfortable chalet -
particularly liked the hot tub (great to soothe those aching limbs)
and the lounge and the log fire! Chalet staff very friendly and always
willing to help and knowledgeable of resorts (and prepared to put up
with our antics and humour!)...overall 9/10!! I S - Chalet

Just a short note to say how much we really enjoyed our stay at La
Forge. I knew it was going to be good but it really exceeded our highest
expectations. From the moment we were met until the moment we left we
received nothing but the very best and friendliest service, all this
despite us being probably quite infuriating guests at times (we managed
to loose a pair of skis, mixed up boots twice). It really has surpassed
all other chalet holidays we have been on. The staff (James, Tess and
Cecile) were hugely welcoming, helpful, professional, patient and great
fun and the chalet was absolutely gorgeous.
My only problems now is trying to arrange to come back again - La Forge
is a wonderful chalet holiday but I don't want to tell everybody this
terrific secret in case I have difficulty booking again in the future.
Many many thanks to you and Team Huski for a wonderful holiday. You are
all doing a fabulous job and hope to return again in the future.

Gaby / Jane just to say many thanks for a great ski holiday. The chalet,
food, staff and transfers were excellent (please pass on our thanks to

I've attached a couple of photo's we took when we were there last week
which were taken after the huge dump of snow - they make the chalet and
valley look truly spectacular so feel free to use them.

brilliant. Thank-you so much for a fabulous, and very relaxing and exciting

fantastic holiday, unanimous, the food was brilliant, just what we wanted
coming from a restaurant. The chalet was lovely and clean, comfy beds
and located so well for Les Houches. The skiing was good despite the weather
and the ski school for Josh was amazing....all in all a great place to stay,
eat and ski. We tried to do a tally of our last 15 years of skiing and 5
of those years have been spent in Cham which is a pretty good percentage for

Gaby,
I just wanted to say, on behalf of the four of us, a huge thank you for such
a fantastic holiday. Everyone at the Hotel was so friendly and helpful,
we were made to feel really at home and the food was absolutely superb.
We also had Richard guiding us for 2 days which was incredible- Vallee

deep powder!!..great guide and well worth the money.
Anyway thankyou again for such a superb holiday, it was all so well
organised and everyone was so friendly, we really didn't want to come

You were kind enough to take pity on me after our first phone call and
ensured we all had a fantastic time. Jane, Tracey, Micki, and Joe were great
with both us and our kids and helped us at every turn. Adrian was a good
call, instructor wise, the kids loved him and he worked absolute wonders on
them. They easily out manoeuvred even the great Will Carling on that green

I think I speak for all our group when I say what a fantastic time we
had staying at chalet Louisa. I was so impressed with the standard of the
food, such as a great hearty breakfast, yummy cakes with tea and delicious
dinners. Lizzie and Jane were wonderful, so very friendly and couldn't do
enough for us. It was lovely to have smiling faces when we were picked up in

very clean and very comfortable. In all we had a lovely holiday with

Star letter! |
We had an amazing time at chalet La Forge, it exceeded every expectation
we had about the trip and Emma, Johnny and Aidan made it truly Memorable. The chalet layout was fantastic and suited our large crowd, especially having so many en-suite bathrooms made things much easier in the mornings. The food and service was better than any Michelin star restaurant and this part of the trip won the most comments after the trip so please pass on to Johnny and Emma.
Chamonix and the location of La Forge was excellent, the skiing at Les Houches was excellent especially Prarion which the guys skied on the 2nd and 3rd day. The only thing I would say is for non-skiers to have a few things arranged (not that staying in the chalet watching a movies by the fire was not a great
option!)
Anyway our targets are set for a reunion trip later this year so expect a call from us very soon!! Thanks again for
everything you did to make this a trip of lifetime for all at Recruit

driving skills followed by his vast 'cheese' knowledge, he should go on

Star Letter | We had a fantastic holiday,
Emma, John and Dobby made us feel really at home- they're such nice,
welcoming, friendly people. The food was delicious each night and we all
loved the cheese course. Emma successfully organised the ski lessons for
us, and the instructors (particularly Ferdi) were fantastic too. Even when
things went wrong (I broke my wrist!) they rallied together and
helped me in the hospital- bringing my friends to visit me there in the
evenings, and being flexible with airport transfer times.
The chalet was as good as it appeared in the pictures on the website; I
didn't dare believe it could be as good as that but it was! The sauna
was great to come back to as well. The rooms were all warm, and having so
may bathrooms made things much easier in the mornings/evenings.....all in

...The quality of the food, wine and accommodation was excellent and the
chalet itself has an attractive interior very sympathetically restored
with great touches in terms of the flooring, furniture, doors etc.
I also liked the attention to detail in terms of the 'little
extras' such as the constant availability of fresh fruit, the choice and
availability of toiletries and the towel dressing gowns. The staff
were friendly, helpful and attentive and although pretty much essential
if you don't have a car, the in resort transfer was carried out

Star letter!*** | La Vieille Forge was everything we could have hoped for. You have a wonderful pair of hosts there in Trude and Phillipe. They made us so welcome and Phillipe's food was fabulous. It's a good job we were skiing, with all those cakes! Nothing was too much trouble for them- from the pick up, the sorting out of ski stuff and arranging lessons to being ferried around by John. As a 'debutant', I was bruised, battered and often frustrated, but after a nervous breakdown on day two when I thought I was never going to get it, it all came together yesterday, at La Flegere and Brevent and now the world of blue has opened up for me- though I'm not too sure about the bumpy bits, yet. And although she's skied all over, Natalie hadn't been to Chamonix before and loved it there, particularly the black run from the top of Floria she did yesterday morning with Etienne. I wouldn't be surprised if huski had even fixed the weather. Three days of bright sunshine, blue skies and glorious scenery- perfect. And thanks also to you. You gave off a great vibe about the place, and what was possible, that made choosing huski very easy. Will we come back? I don't know. There are probably many other mountains and valleys to explore, but maybe, and I'll definitely recommend you to anyone else planning a ski trip!. Roger |

Star letter*** | Dear Tim and Gaby, I have just returned from a week in Chamonix and stayed at your Chalet Truda. I am writing to say that the service provided by the staff at Chalet Truda was superb. Nothing was too much trouble for Alex and Lynne, from transporting us to and from the various slopes, to obtaining the England Rugby Team selection for the game against Italy. Paddy the Chef, was also excellent. His cooking was out-of-this world and he clearly was somebody who took pride in his work. The group I travel with have used catered Chalets for the last five years and to say that the staff were the best so far would be an understatement. 09-mar-2003 | Firstly, thank you in advance for forwarding me the boots and cds I left at La Forge after too much whiskey on our last night at Les Houches. Its a wonder I didn't forget my passport, but that would mean I'd still be there which wouldn't be such a bad thing! Secondly, I just wanted to let you know how impressed we were with the set-up there.
The food was great, the wine went down very well and Aaron, Adam, Bee and co. were never less than helpful, courteous, flexible and fun. W.M |
 |
08-mar-2003 | We very much enjoyed our holiday in Les Granges over New Year. The
accommodation suited us all well.It is in a great location even though we had to leave the cars lower down on one occasion due to the snow falls. The weeks skiing lessons for Grace (our 5 year old) were just right for her and she came on in leaps and bounds. Peter |

20-jan-2003 | We've just returned this weekend from a stay with you at Chalet Truda and on behalf of our party, I am dropping you a quick note to say that we had a great time and found Alex and Lynne outstanding. All of the our party are experienced winter tourists having sampled the full range of Alpine hospitality from total self catered to 4-star hotels.
To a person they agreed that Lynne and Alex did a fantastic job and could not have been more helpful, knowledgeable or
friendly. We thought the service that they provided was great and the mix of the self catered chalet with the assistance of, Alex and Lynne, the minibus and the Huski resort knowledge worked really well for us.The booking service and pre travel information was also very good. We hope that you have a great season and look forward to travelling with you again. Chris |
 |
09-jan-2003 | The chalet was great- there were 9 of us, 2 families of 4 and another relative who is in a wheel chair. I think it's worth mentioning how brilliant the accommodation turned out to be for him on the middle floor. Although it meant getting him up the stairs it was perfect once up there having the bed room and bathroom plus all the main living accomodation together. He is quite used to being heaved up stairs and could almost manage the getting down on his own! Also as a wheelchair skier it may be worth noting (in case you are asked in future!) that the cable cars at La Tour and Brevent were excellent for him but the one at Flegere was not really accessible. The lift staff seemed quite used to it all and were very helpful. Thanks again- we're still thinking very fondly of it! .L.H

09-jan-2003 | What can we say other than a big thank you for making this holiday one to remember. We probably will never again spend Christmas with such a nice and diverse group of people. (one Scot, one Welsh, six Australians, one Kiwi & seven English) It was a real commonwealth gathering! Arran, Adam and Max each were magnificent hosts. Arran, as you know can work miracles within his meticulous galley, he was easily able to please us night after night with his culinary delights. Whilst Adam and Max were our congenial hosts. Each complementing each other. Adam the seasoned professional. Max the fiddlers apprentice.
In a short space of time they had all become apart of our extended family.
Your Chalet immediately felt like our home which together with our other house mates made our stay exceed all of our expectations. We cannot speak any more highly of your team, their knowledge and ability. Our initial concerns over this type of holiday were soon over come and we cannot think how it could be bettered other than by being more confident of our own skiing abilities. Etienne will vouch for
that! We had not appreciated the extent of Chamonix, the area that it covered and the variety of skiing potentially available. How, with the snow conditions as they were would we have coped with ski school? Utilising Etienne was the best decision and we would certainly do this again. It also eased potential transport difficulties and allowed us to explore three different areas which as novices we might not have done other wise. N.B |

11-apr-2002 | Our team enjoyed themselves hugely during our recent stay with you & it was a great finish to our first year of trading- so thank you! The team at Chalet des Granges are superb & Aarons cooking was exceptional. Without doubt this is the best chalet I have stayed at & we will hopefully be back when the snow returns! David |
 |
08-apr-2002 | I do not believe we have ever been so well looked after as we were by Steve and Jo, nothing was too much trouble and they were very professional, even top hotels could not beat what we had last week. Thank you for helping make our holiday so enjoyable, please pass on my thanks to Steve and Jo. S H |

31-mar-2002 | Just wanted to say thank you for organising such an enjoyable trip to Cham, and to compliment you on your set up.The chalet was terrific- what a view!- and your staff were absolutely wonderful. Mel, Aaron and Brodie managed to tread that fine line between friendly hospitality and real professionalism; they made me feel very welcome, they were incredibly helpful and
knowledgeable, and seemed to run the chalet beautifully without it feeling like a sterile hotel. That you have found such good people, and trained them so well, is a credit to your organisation. They're no small part of the reason I'll be recommending
Huski to all my friends. Please pass on my heartfelt gratitude to them for all that they did to make my week so much fun, and again thanks for organising everything so efficiently at such short notice. I'll see you next year- I only wish it could be sooner! D D |
 |
11-mar-2002 | .Well his food was fantastic and his explanations of the dishes he prepared were second to none Thanks Aaron. He also was very helpful, open and friendly. To top that off there was Mel, What can we say about her, the cheese speeches were great, she was so very helpful, gave great advice, shipped us about when we needed it and was always on time. She is a great asset to your team. A great big THANKS Mel. We are so impressed with your service we will be passing your details on to the travel agent we usually use. We had a great time and will be back, Thanks again it was great. Bob |

 |
21-mar-2001 | I have just returned from a weekend at Chalet Truda. Whilst everything was excellent (especially the waiting skis and boots, what a treat not having to sort that out) Max and I particularily wanted to mention our host, Sandy. He really was by far the best Chalet host I have ever come across. Relaxed, friendly without being intrusive, charming, knowledgeable and always more than willing to do what he could to help. A real star who topped off a great holiday. James |

Star Letter!*** | Let me start by saying that this is probably the first letter I have written to thank anyone for whom I have paid to stay with, but I feel the hospitality warrants a note. Mostly I want to thank you for possessing the ability to hire and retain AWESOME STAFF.Mel was an absolutely delightful host.Paul could not have been nicer or more accommodating-driving us and picking us up practically anywhere at anytime. Aaron was an incredible cook and the food was superb. (Here we were in France with plenty of Francs to enjoy a multitude of restaurants- yet we never missed one of his meals). As for the cheese expert, what can I say he needs to stick to pro snowboarding. Seriously though the cheese's were divine and he was a great host as well. Everyone there made us feel at home and comfortable.I hope they will all feel welcome to look me up when ever in the states. Please give them all my best. Thank you very much! |

14-Mar-1998 |
I must thank you for the hospitality you extended to me last week, which was
indeed an experience not to be forgotten. I have visited quite a few skiing
resorts and must say that you are both running a brilliant operation in
Chamonix, the like of which is hard to find, especially in a popular skiing
resort. The chalet staff were excellent with us and did their utmost to
render our stay more enjoyable and to treat the guests as 'king'.
Basically I feel the product you are offering is the next best thing to home
(if not better)... N Z. Director Wings Travel. |

....for your great hospitality ..in March. As it was my first time to
Chamonix valley the experience of snowboarding in truly the most beautiful
scenery and fantastic ski resorts, coupled with your hospitality, made my
brief 2 day stay most memorable....The relaxed atmosphere that your
chalet generates, with the help of the great staff Simon , Simon 2 and
Tracey made it easy to unwind. My compliments to your chef... A B

15-April-1997 |
...I am disappointed that neither Nick or I completed our goal of skiing
from Chamonix the Zermatt although in view of not enjoying the
'mountaineering' bits of the route, I do not regret making the decision
to turn back when we did. I was particularly pleased that you could put
us up at a moments notice. I enjoyed the chalet and found it very
comfortable with a most relaxed atmosphere. Earlier in the season C and
I had stayed at the Hotel *** in Chamonix. While being exceedingly
more expensive (with some obvious benefits) it by no means matched the
general relaxed feeling and all round service that I got in your chalet.
Particular credit should be given to your staff....I don't think
there was one meal that I didn't enjoy thoroughly.... Charles |

4-April-1997 |
.The end of another Liberty ski season. Chamonix still seems to be
standing; so it looks like we will have to have another go at it again
next year! A huge thank you to you all for making it such a great
success! Viv you deserve a medal after all the retrebates you have had
to cook for..a massive thankyou!! James |

We wanted to thank you all so much for looking after us brilliantly over New
Year. A special mention must go to 'dazzle' who absolutely outshone his name
with his superb cuisine- I can honestly say from the duck breast to the
quail and the New Years eve buffet to the fondue we haven't eaten so well
in a chalet before...thanks a million for everything. Jenny |

20-Mar-1993 |
...thanks for a fantastic weeks holiday. The chalet was excellent, even
after the mess we left every night! Food was first class and hospitality in
general superb. We have all agreed that it was one of the best holidays
we've ever had, you looked after us exceptionally well (although it's
nice to go to bed before 4am and sober!) Special thanks to Lawrence who
really put himself out for us (cheers mate it was much appreciated by all)
and didn't get upset when we laughed at his unorthodox mogul field descent!
Hopefully see you all again next year (if you'll have us back!) Andy |

25-Feb-1993 |
There were many things that went to make this a memorable trip, such as the
food, the beautiful accommodation, the football, not to mention the free
beer! The main thing was the positive attitude we received from you both.
It was a big risk for you to take such a group and we thank you for the
effort you all put in to make it a very memorable trip... Mountbatten

Just a note to thank you all for making our holiday so enjoyable. It
is a measure of your hospitality that we are now suffering from terminal
depression and 'home-sickness'! Hence we are itching to sneak out
later in the season. Maybe we will be able to come over for a long
week-end. Enjoy the rest of your season, and hopefully we'll see you
over the summer... Pete and Jeanette |

20-Jan-1993 |
We'd like to thank you especially for all the extra work (we know) that
goes into a skiing holiday for us. Carrying the 'bob', carrying Bob and
carrying Bob in the 'bob' let alone in his wheelchair (he's promised to
loose weight for next time)Its always very worrying when we go on
holiday- not to be a burden, but you all made so, matter of fact,
like a stroll in the park and therefore even more pleasurable. That
thanks goes to everyone! Jayne and Bob |
 |
20-Jan-1993 |
Thankyou both for a fantastic week in a delightful chalet among friendly
people and with excellent food and wine. It was quite the most
enjoyable skiing holiday we've had. That the weather stayed fine for
seven days was the crowning glory and perhaps the only thing not
entirely down to you! Jules |
01-Jan-1993 | A great end to 92 and a terrific start to 93. Thanks for the personal service, great food, laughs etc! M R |

07-Jan-1992 |
Thankyou for the most wonderful Christmas in Chamonix. Everything was so
perfect- i'll never forget the superb goose Christmas dinner and the all
around good cheer and friendship. Our only regret was having to leave
before New Year! We are still dreaming of that 6 foot snow fall in the night
- it's gone down in the record books now! Lily and John |

14-Apr-1992 | A wonderful easy place to stay and that's not easy! J D |
29-Mar-1992 |
This is a rather belated note to say how much I enjoyed my stay at Les
Houches. It was by far the best chalet holiday I've been on. The only
problem was that it was too short so i'll have to make sure I come for a
week next time!... Jackie |
 |
27-Mar-1992 | Thanks for a wonderful holiday, it was a really special week, looking forward to next year... C R |
25-Mar-1992 |
Well it's Wednesday and the four of us are still constantly on the phone
talking about what a fantastic week we've had.. All thanks to you of
course! Anybody here even thinking about asking me about the holiday gets
taken aside and given an hour of skiing chat including memorable 'dumps'
(Gabby speak me thinks!) 'Pan handles' and others too numerous to mention.
Ta for the video Tim- it's amazing how crap you look on the slopes when
actually you think you are doing OK, well everyone who see's the vid gets
the 'well it was a 70* run, about 30km to the chalet' etc etc!...all in all
a truly fantastic week... Roelof |
 |
20-Mar-1992 | Oh
bliss, back home again, traffic jams, elections and a nice new

....here's a quick note to say 'hi' and many thanks for the bestest, most
stupendous, brilliant week last month. We all agreed that it was the most
enjoyable skiing holiday we've ever had, even beating last years week!
After two seasons with you, with the kind, generous and warm hospitality
you all showed us, with incredible enthusiasm I might add (in sometimes very
rowdy conditions!) we're going to find it very difficult to not come back
again next year....that is if we are allowed!... Nick |
