The Chamonix valley skipass options 2011/2012
Only skipasses of over 10 days require a photo. All passes are electronic hands free badges on which there is a non refundable 3€ cost for the plastic pass which you can re-use. There are several skipass options for the valley which can make choosing the right pass for you rather confusing so please discuss your ski pass requirements with our office staff before your arrival.

PAYS DU MONT BLANC ski pass
This 3-7 day ski pass offers you the whole Pays du Mont Blanc area and not only includes ALL the skiing in the CHAMONIX VALLEY but COURMAYEUR in ITALY, and neighbouring resorts such as MEGEVE, ST GERVAIS and LES CONTAMINES, whether for weeks or weekends. It's the ideal skipass for those guests who'd like to explore a larger area. On your door step you have access to an incredible 230 lifts and 700km of pistes with this pass!

The MBU 'UNLIMITED' ski pass, 2 days or more
This skipass is the best option for those guests who'd like to ski everywhere around the valley from LES HOUCHES to LE TOUR and is in essence the "Chamski" pass with the Aiguille du Midi, top cable car at Les Grands Montets included. The MBU also includes Courmayeur and incredibly, if you purchase the 6 day pass, VERBIER is also included for a day! This pass also affords the best value for families who'd like to ski all the area's of Chamonix and especially LES HOUCHES. Skipass includes free SKI BUS.

The Les Houches ski passes
Various options are on offer JUST for the Les Houches ski area. We would recommend the skiing in Les Houches for families with beginners for the week (with ESF ski school) and for bad weather days when it tends to be the only ski area open. It's also worth buying a day or 4 hour pass on your arrival or departure days and buying the MBU skipass thereafter. If you want to spend several days in Les Houches it would be less expensive to buy a 2 or 3 day Les Houches pass and therafter an MBU. You can also choose to just buy day tickets but you will have to queue each day at the caisse to buy them and it can work out more expensive all round so ask your chalet staff or Gaby in the office for the best options for your personal circumstances.

The CHAMSKI ski pass
This is a 1 - 21 day pass which covers you only for certain ski areas and for lifts between 1,000m to 2765m. A good option for weekend skiing however although this pass does not cover Les Houches (but you can upgrade to an Unlimited at any time) You can ski 6 days out of 7 days on this pass. Skipass includes free SKI BUS. This pass is also sold as a 4 HOUR PASS for 36€ per person.

Note. The CHAMSKI pass does NOT include Aiguille du Midi lift or the second stage cable-car in Argentiere, Les Grands Montets (superb off-piste areas best undertaken with a mountain guide) You can buy these tickets separately and in busy times these are timed to a certain bin departure.
Suggestions for a Ski Weekend
We recommend the Pays du Mont Blanc pass or the MBU Unlimited. For your arrival/departure day, where you may like to ski just for a couple of hours we recommend 4 hour Chamski pass at 36€ per person or Les Houches 4 hours from 28€ to 33 € per person.
Other Options FAMILIES
Family Cham-ski and 'Unlimited' passes available for parents and grandparents. Pay for 2 adult passes, one adult pass with a 50% discount and all remaining children ski for free. Please discuss your requirements with our Rep or office staff in advance so we can recommend the best pass for you!

Please note that Skipass prices are given in Euros. Payments for Skipasses are made by Credit card in resort in local currency. We have your best interests at heart when recommending which ski pass to buy. It's your responsibility to make the final decision on which pass so be well informed by reading the above and talking to us and please don't blame our chalet staff if you choose the 'wrong' combination of skipasses!
