Delicious cuisine, flexible catering

If you'd like a catered service we can offer this in house or suggest a good local chef to offer just evenings, meals delivery or fully catered. We try our hardest to buy local or French products (except tea!) and to use free range eggs, chicken and pork under the 'Lable Rouge' system . We are also happy to offer a group vegetarian or vegan catering (but usually for the whole chalet) We re-cycle our food packaging. Our cuisine is inspired with favourites from France and the mountain environment we live in and always delicious and stylishly presented. Example menus 5 evenings

Starter

Raviolo filled with local soft goats cheese, sage butter and topped with tomato salsa V
Sweetcorn chowder with rosemary flatbreads and warm garlic olive oil dip V
Roquefort cheesecake, salad leaves V
Sesame prawns with ramen noodles
Mushroom Risotto topped with rocket and lemon pesto V

Main, served with fresh vegetables

Free range chicken (or beetroot/mushroom V)  'Wellington',  chestnut sauce, polenta cubes and green beans
Baked 'Fera' locally sourced lake fish with beurre blanc, julliene vegetables and shredded leeks
Bavette steak (or creamy oyster mushrooms V) served with herb & caper dressing, potato rosti and winter roasted vegetables
Butternut squash and roasted cauliflower thai style curry, jasmine rice, crispy spicy onions V
Slow cooked lamb, minted couscous, roasted sweet peppers

Pudding

Coconut panna cotta, amaretti crumbs and plum 'soup'
Semifredo with caramel sauce
Mountain Pavlova with chestnut puree and pistachio
Dark chocolate mousse, raspberry sauce
Tart au Citron, lemon curd creme fraiche

Cheese presentation

We'll tell you a good story which explains the history of the cheese you're eating, with interesting anecdotes, a perfect way to finish dinner and of course enjoy just a little more more wine...!
Epoisse - a rich creamy and marvellously strong cheese from Burgundy
Beaufort - "the Champagne of cheeses", a superb local cheese made from cows grazing on high mountain pastures
Chaource - another cheese from Burgundy, steeped in Marc de Bourgnon, deliciously pale and creamy
Tomme de Savoie - local, lots of different varieties, sharp and full flavoured, alpine cheddar!
Reblochon - made in the Aravis region, made from the creamier second milking

Catered service

If you book a catered service it generally includes a hearty continental breakfast plus a hot option (except on staff day off when breakfast is a Continental breakfast with yoghurt, cereals and fruit) and after ski tea left out with homemade goodies.
Our gourmet evening catering is on 5 nights (one night could be Savoyarde specialities if you wish); we begin with a house aperro and canapes and then provide a stylish 4 course evening meal with a starter, main (inc wine) pudding and cheese presentation. On two nights you will eat out and we can advise to the many excellent local restaurants. 

Organic, vegetarians, vegan or gluten free

We're passionate about local food and organic or small farm reared products. We are happy to cater for vegetarian, vegan and food allergies and will adapt our menu's to suit but cannot guarantee an allergy free environment. If you would like to experience a week of organic cooking please let us know. A supplement will apply and we can only cater the whole chalet on this basis.
